    I heard that people are actually harvesting keys from store computers using utilities that can read the key embedded in the firmware and using it to activate Windows on other computers. Which shouldn’t be happening. This is Microsoft’s fault. They need a better authentication mechanism.

    It is unto people like to raise our voices against what is obviously unfair to customers who already paid for a license when they bought the computer.

    Also this call OEM, call Microsoft circle they are doing is nothing but a way to waste the customer’s time. Microsoft should be responsible for their software when they are the ones in charge of activation.

    sorry if this post shows up twice. I just have a quick query. Does anyone know if Combofix has compatibility problems with Windows 8? Thanks.

    Yes, Combofix does not work with Windows 8 or 8.1, YET.
