Another very nice tag editor is MP3tag which allows changes to just about every tag and audio format available. Highly recommended.

For the full MP3 title tag to be visible in Windows 2000/XP–right click on the Name, Size, or Type header in Windows File Explorer and check the Title entry. Now you will see the Podcast# and not just the filename.
