I am the host of the Mike Tech Show Podcast. I am also an independent IT Consultant and IT Professional for the past 30 years. I am a graduate of Drexel University and have been working with computers since the early days of the Texas Instrument’s TI-99/4A home computer in 1982. From this I moved on to building my first Intel 8088 IBM PC clone with two floppy drives and a CGA monitor. My computer career really took off when I discovered Lotus 1-2-3 and started developing complex spreadsheets to assist many companies. I became proficient with the early version of Autodesk’s AutoCAD where I learned AutoLisp and helped the City of Philadelphia Highway Division digitize the city streets. I became passionate about networking when I connected my first office with Novell 286 and used cc:Mail for email.
My podcast is about all things technology and computer related. I discuss cool sites, software, tips and tricks that will make you more productive at home and work. I review problems and solutions that I encounter at home and with my consulting. I answer listener’s tech questions and also discuss solutions from other listeners. I broadcast every Thursday LIVE on Ustream at 8PM ET, from my home in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Me and my wife Dorothy of 33 years, have 3 sons, Michael Jr, Ryan and Tyler. I have 2 grandsons, Michael III and Matthew.
