    Hey Mike…greetings from Detroit!
You know, it’s funny because I just came across this link today while trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with some of my (wma) files:

    http://castlecops.com/a6437-HAZARDOUS_SECURITY_ALERT.html

sorry, don’t know how the link is going to show up…might have to copy/paste it (?).

I don’t know how it happened but I’ve had to go into each (so far just music) file(s) and change the properties for each file so that WMP is the default player. Not such a big deal except I have to do it every stinkin’ time I want the (music) file to play.

I started hopping around on the net and discovered the link that I left here. The Homepage to this site really is a better place to start as they have a thread started for the problem.

I don’t know if this other problem that I’m having is related but, for some reason, I can’t set default files in WMP…well, two of them I can’t set WMP to be the default player (mp3, wma). I don’t have any other type of player (no quicktime, etc…) on my system that could have hijacked it. (???)
I’m even afraid to try the fix (installer) that you linked to because I wouldn’t know what to do if any other problems spring up.
ugh….these darn computers only make life easier if we don’t encounter any problems with them 🙂 🙂
